Rachel is a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher whose journey with yoga began in 2005 in sunny California. Initially hesitant about the heat of hot yoga, Rachel quickly discovered its transformative power and has been hooked ever since.
Despite the challenges of pregnancy and chronic back issues, Rachel's commitment to her practice not only helped her maintain her health but also led her to pursue a deeper understanding of yoga’s therapeutic benefits. In 2008, she completed her 200-hour teacher training at CorePower Yoga in Huntington Beach. What started as a personal endeavor soon turned into a professional calling when she began teaching at 24 Hour Fitness.
Over the years, Rachel has expanded her knowledge through additional certifications in specialized areas like Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for Anxiety, among others. She’s also had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected names in the field, such as Kino McGregor, Brian Kest, and Jason Crandell.
In 2017, Rachel took a significant step forward by authoring her own 200-hour Teacher Training program, and in 2021, she began nurturing the next generation of yoga teachers. Today, she runs ASHA Yoga, a studio that embodies her vision of a welcoming community where everyone can come together to practice and grow.
When she's not guiding others on their yoga paths, Rachel loves spending time with her four children and traveling the world.
